FortiFeed® is an all natural prebiotic ingredient comprised of a pure form of short-chain fructooligosaccharides (scFOS®) that selectively stimulates the growth of beneficial microflora in the intestines of monogastric animals. FortiFeed is derived from cane or beet sugar utilizing a patented process, non-GMO ingredients and a traditional, natural enzymatic fermentation method.
FortiFeed works in the colon of monogastric animals, which is home to both beneficial and pathogenic bacteria. No Maillard Reaction

Recommended for use in calorie-modified products, FortiFeed enhances the characteristics of special dietary feeds and increases acceptability. FortiFeed provides only 1.5Kcal/gram, independent of carbohydrate metabolism, adds fiber and contributes to overall calorie reduction in any formulation.
Enhances Palatability
FortiFeed has a clean, mildly sweet taste, and since it is 30 percent as sweet as sugar, it improves palatability. FortiFeed also has the ability to successfully mask the off-notes of a variety of feed inputs, which positively impacts feed acceptability and consumption.
